Chris Leben: Free Of Painkillers For Over A Year - FightLine.com

Chris Leben appears to have learned his lesson, as the UFC fighter sent out a message on Twitter Tuesday that he has been free of painkillers for over a year.

Leben, who appeared on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, was suspended for a year after failing a post-fight drug test for two banned substances. He returned in December, but was defeated by Derek Brunson.

I had a friend who was into Oxy then switched to heroin. Rough.

The way he fought Brunson, you would think he was still on them.

His last fight was so painful to watch I almost needed pain killers.

Ive been off opiates since november...switched to meth, then kicked it at the end of december..a real fucking mess it was but sober now (minus pot and kratom, pot is NOT an addictive drug therefore, it will be used haha) Ive never been a leben fan but for him to go through it and kick it, awesome. On a side note, if there are ANY FORUM USERS, who use opiates and are scared to kick it because of the sickness you go through...PM me there is a way to kick opiates without one day of being sick, and it doesnt involved any illegal drugs. Cheers to anyone who walks away from it with their heads held high

I was always an upper kind of guy when it came to the harder drugs.

Smoke alot of pot now but I do not even drink anymore 9 months sober...Alcohol was the biggest downfall in my life and not a day goes by that I dont appreciate myself more and more for kicking it.

LSD though, I will never quit but will always use in moderation. I bought 100 hits of this real nice lennon blotter a little over a year ago and bought so much because it's impossible to find and I never wanted to go looking again..

I have 97 hits left a Jeff Beck concert a Rush concert and a severely rainy day later.
I really believe that people like Bill Murray or John Belushi are just as great and just as valid as Robert De Niro or Al Pacino. And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.
