Default Faber: Cruz shouldn't be stripped of title

Faber: Cruz shouldn't be stripped of title - Mixed Martial Arts News

UFC president Dana White has mulled over whether to strip him of his title or not but surprisingly enough, his rival Faber stuck up for him in an interview with Sherdog Radio:

"I don't feel like he should be stripped of the belt. The guy's earned it. Part of the reason why he's injured is because he puts it all out there and hits like a weirdo, but he throws punches anyways. I wouldn't count the guy out. I don't think they should strip him of the title.... He's still, in my opinion, considered the champion. I don't think you strip a guy of the belt. I would be pissed if they stripped me of the belt."
And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus

Me too but I strongly disagree with him. Cruz hasn't fought in forever. If Barao decided to pull a Condit we could be waiting a very long time for the title to be defended in which case what would the UFC do? A second interim title? Hell no, make Barao the official title holder, he's earned it too Uriah, especially considering he is defending it right now. Perhaps Uriah is thinking that he can actually beat Cruz and likely will never beat Barao so if Cruz holds title he has a chance at holding a title one last time?

HOSS-Bork, you should spend more time brushing up on your MMA history, and less time complementing guys on how young their penises taste.

Exactly, Barao has earned it too. He is scheduled to defend his interim for a second time, which in my opinion is one too many. If Cruz had an expected date to return, then that would be a different story, but he has been absent for a little under 1.5 years with no return date in the horizon. Sucks though, the guy is 19-1
