There's no way that cut is GONE that soon. I bet someone altered that pic to make it appear as such. Any cut that requires 3 stitches to close, I would think takes longer than a week to look like it never happened.

Either way, sad to see this fight changed. Was really looking forward to seeing Gegard in the UFC. On a bright note for him, he'll get to clear his Octagon jitters against someone nowhere near the skill level of The Mauler. This should only help Gegard in his 2nd UFC fight (and beyond).
"I don't want them to like me, because when I'm in the ring, punches fly to the face. It is not a tenderness time. I am not falling in love. And he knows that when the fight starts I kick faces."
"I think you should be able to kick in the head, it’s a fun thing to do."

This pic was taken of Gustafsson today and u can't even see the cut!!! Worst decision I have EVER seen to pull fight
You can see the eye is swollen.

Goose made a good decision. The fight with Mousasi would have been a war. A few jabs and that eye would be gushing.

I'm a big Mousasi fan, and fan of Goose as well. I was torn about the matchup, as I did not want to see either lose. While the replacement is not exciting as the Mousasi/Goose matchup was, we can all at least watch Mousasi in action, and get some UFC exposure.

Goose/Mousasi will def meet down the road, and I expect Mousasi to have a few UFC wins under his belt. The matchup will be a lot better than what It would have been this Saturday.

This is what I was thinking. Maybe Mousasi vs Evans as a warm up.

I know we got a lot of Rashad haters, but I think that could be a great fight

By the way, for all those wondering how much the Odds changed with the new matchup:

    1001 Ilir Latifi +550
    1002 Gegard Mousasi -1050
