If GSP was smart he would take the Silva fight first. He would collect on a huge paycheck that he wouldn't otherwise get if he were to fight Hendricks. GSP should go get KTFO by Silva, retain his title, and get KTFO again. If he were to lose to Hendricks first, the Silva fight wouldn't make as much sense as a "superfight."

Believe it or not, I AM a GSP fan. I just think he's screwed either way.

Smart money is on Hendricks though. GSP actually values his title and what it represents. He's not about to disrespect the belt the way that Silva does. Plus he'on record as saying he'd need much more time to move up to 185 properly and he's not intrigued by the idea of a one off superfight.
there is NO WAY anyone could seriously claim GSP was ducking Hendricks by choosing to fight one of if the the greatest fighter of our time

I knew dana couldn't go a full day without reminding me what a tool he is.

No champion should be choosing their opponents. Ever.

Face the #1 contender, or duck the #1 contender.

    There is no third option.

Yes, but if he hadn't ducked Hendricks to face Diaz, this wouldn't have been an issue.

...the last two guys Georges finished were lightweights fighting a class above their natural weight.

    meh.

He made his own bed. He chose to duck Hendricks to cash in on a bullshit Diaz fight, he gets no sympathy from me.

I was saying that if I thought it was a good idea ever, then GSP would be one of the first guys I wouldn't have a problem with doing it. But I hate fighters picking and choosing. That was my point. And Cat, yes I get that, and I didn't like it then either, but eventually I just got to the point where I wanted to see Diaz shut down, so I went with it.
