Default UFC on Fox 7 Fighter Salaries: Henderson, Mir, and Melendez Top Payroll

UFC on Fox 7 Fighter Salaries: Benson Henderson, Frank Mir, and Gilbert Melendez Top Payroll | MMAWeekly.com

The UFC on Fox 7: Henderson vs. Melendez fighter salaries were released to MMAWeekly.com on Sunday by the California State Athletic Commission.

UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson successfully defended his belt by winning a five-round split decision victory over Gilbert Melendez, the outgoing Strikeforce champion.

UFC on Fox 7 took place Saturday, April 20, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners’ bonuses.

Although mixed martial arts fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters’ salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions (specifically, pay-per-view bonuses, fight of the night bonuses, etc.), are not included in the figures below.

Benson Henderson: $200,000 (includes $100,000 win bonus)

    def. Nate Diaz: $15,000

UFC on Fox 7 Disclosed Fighter Payroll: $1,318,000
Someone brought attention to the fact that Nate Diaz only made $15K to show. I know there's often chicanery involved with UFC fighter payouts, but what's up with that?

Diaz pay seems pretty unbelievably low.

(I didn't read the end of trust kills post before I posted that.)

    Very strange though.

I think he deserves a little more change but those are some reasons why
I think there must have been an error in the report for this event. I thought it was really low as well so I checked the last two fights for Nate prior to this one. For the Henderson fight he made 50k to show and the Miller fight he made 50k to show and 50k for the win.

I'm going with this theory until I hear otherwise. $15K makes no sense to me.

Umm, Nate's last two fights were headlining FOX cards, including a world title fight. Those cards are about on par with pay per view events. Before that, he was in the co-main event of Lesnar/Overeem against Cerrone, ahead of Hendricks/Fitch.

Is Nate still under his TUF contract? Also the UFC doesn't post extra payouts to there fighters just the base. Just a asumption maybe Nate has money put else where for his future or his mom that they don't have to list. Just a guess no facts involved

How is it that the current reigning LW Champ in Bendo needs to include a win bonus to be making more than his opponent???? That makes no sense at all.
