Quinton Jackson Will Fight in Bellator Tournament If That

In a recent interview with the Sherdog Radio Networkís ďBeatdownĒ show, ďRampageĒ discussed his future with Bellator, TNA and much more.

On pro wrestling: ďI did not leave MMA at all. I just changed organizations. I went to Bellator. I did a deal with Viacom, and Viacom owns a lot of TV stations and different things. TNA is on Spike TV, so I did a deal to do MMA fights with Bellator, pro wrestling with TNA, and I did that just so I could reach out to a larger audience. Plus, to all the people that called me a sellout, I think Iím the sellout for going to MMA first because I was always a pro wrestling fan. Thatís why I fought the way I did when I was younger. Thatís why I did the powerbombs and the slams and all that, because Iíve always been a pro wrestler at heart.Ē

On TNA: ďThe reason why I went to TNA instead of WWE Ö is because TNA is under the Viacom umbrella and TNA has got Hulk Hogan and the other cool wrestlers, like Sting and everybody, and I actually like TNA. I like the format. I like how friendly they are. Ö I have nothing against the WWE. Ö Theyíre cool. I just feel like I fit in more with TNA.Ē

On getting a reality show and acting: ďI couldnít pass up on that dream to do pro wrestling, and Viacom gave me my own reality show, which starts shooting very soon, and Viacom [owns] Paramount Pictures, and theyíre going to have me doing movies. The first movie Iím doing is the one I wrote.Ē

On his movie: ďIíve seen a few MMA movies out there and I just wasnít happy with the way they portrayed MMA period and the fighters. They just didnít hit the true essence of what it takes to be an MMA fighter. Me being an MMA fighter -- Iíve been in it for 12, 13 years -- I decided to make a movie [about] something that goes on with me and just some other parts of MMA that people donít really talk about. I made a movie about the brotherhood and stuff in MMA and the inside and how the promoters are.

ďI think the script is really good. Ö I let a couple of people read it and they were like, ĎWow.í A lot of people think it could be kind of like a type of MMA movie that people could really attach themselves too and make a couple of sequels from it. Ö I just want you guys to know Iím sitting down with a professional writer, somebody that can help me write it and bring it to life a little bit more because Iím not a writer.Ē

On his reality show: ďItís going to be a lot of lifestyle. Iím going to let you guys into my house with my kids and what goes on there and stuff like that. Iím going to let you guys see a little bit more of my training. Normally the only times you guys see me training is like the countdown stuff, and all that stuff is basically what we want you guys to see, but a reality show is reality. Itís going to be real; youíre going to be able to see what really happens in my training. Ö Everything goes. Then you get to see my nightlife.Ē

On Bellator and CEO Bjorn Rebney: ďBjorn Rebney, heís like one of the best promoters I ever met. The guyís super cool. He understands fighters. Itís like the guy gets it. Itís like he used to be a fighter. Itís kind of like Nick Diaz doing his own promotion. Ö I would fight for Nick because heís a fighter and he knows how to treat fighters. Bjorn Rebneyís like that. Thatís why I made the move that I made. I did not quit MMA. Iím still fighting. I will fight before the yearís over with and I will do pro wrestling as well.Ē

On whether heíll compete in a Bellator tournament: ďTheyíre showing me a lot of love and a lot of respect and showing me a lot of appreciation. Iím loyal. Whatever Bellator wants me to do, Iíll do it.Ē

He'll probably just get KO'd by someone I've never heard of.

Bellator where Championships are earned- not given
So if Page wants that title he should indeed have to fight in the tournament.

I'm personally happy for Rampage. He had a lot of bad blood with the UFC and he needed a fresh start to refocus his mind and just be happy again. I hope that he can just get back to being himself. I haven't always agreed with how he has approached situations but I've always enjoyed watching him fight.

Rampage: I'd love to f--- up Roy Nelson - Mixed Martial Arts News
Quinton Jackson has recently expressed interest in moving up to the heavyweight and a bout with Roy Nelson is defintely he would be up for:

Brian Hemminger (MMAmania.com): You brought up earlier about really wanting to round out your game. Is there anything specific you want to focus on before you make your Bellator debut?

Quinton Jackson: Everything. I need to work on everything, man. I need to work on my Muay Thai. I need to work on my wrestling. I need to work on my ground game and even my boxing. That's what I've been doing.

Brian Hemminger (MMAmania.com): Roy Nelson's contract just expired in the UFC so he's like a restricted free agent at the moment. You've brought wanting to fight at heavyweight now so would you be interested in a fight against Big Country if he signs with Bellator?

Quinton Jackson: I would love to fight Roy Nelson. Fuck him up.

So Rampage has been knocked out before, and violently. He's also never fought someone who hits with 250+ pounds of force and is seemingly less mobile every fight. It's not a crazy statement.
