...and so the discreding of Weidman begins. He didn't catch Silva squarely, he wasn't outworking him in the first round...it was because Anderson wanted to lose--or even worse, actually threw the fight.

Why is MMA wasted on so many stupid fans?

Like I said he never had any intentions on finishing that contract. After fighting Roy Jones Jr its a wrap. Now look at the bright side no one can get mad at him for holding up the belt due to his super fights.

No champion I have seen in history has been so happy to lose a belt. If the stress of being the champion for so long did catch up to him and he feels a sense of freedom now I am happy for him.

As far as Weidman goes I got him getting KTFO by Vitor LOL!

1 champion down... 2 more to go booyahhh

I will probably receive backlash for this but I don't care. People have had mixed feelings about Anderson Silva in the past but he has without a doubt been one of the greatest of all time and was undefeated for 7 years for a reason. I am a fan of the...and as weird as it is to say...former champion and I am both saddened and happy to say that Chris Weidman is the new Middleweight champion and that he can usher in a new round of brilliant talent.

At least Fedor went out on his shield.

Anderson went out looking like he was auditioning to be a Soul Train dancer.
I agree legacy wise it's a rather humiliating way to lose - however that is Anderson, he dances, that's what he does, I suppose it's somewhat fitting that he loses his belt doing the thing that made him such a mystique.

I thought the same thing. I'm sure Bonnar's right next to him smiling too.
