That's part of the reason I absolutely despise soares and cannot respect Anderson for ducking rematches. As fighters, Anderson should know more than anyone that beating a fighter once makes you the better fighter on that night. It doesn't make you the better fighter. Anderson--who was an overwhelming favorite to beat Dan or Nate in rematches--could have done what was actually needed to "prove" he was the better fighter instead of relying on the hype that dana and his fanboys perpetuate.
But make no mistake, it was a real fight. There was a real winner, and a real loser. Anderson didn't hand the belt over, it was taken from him. The outcome of the rematch will do nothing to change that.
All manner of men came to work for the News: everything from wild young Turks who wanted to rip the world in half and start all over again -- to tired, beer-bellied old hacks who wanted nothing more than to live out their days in peace before a bunch of lunatics ripped the world in half.

Paper champs don't get immediate rematches. Apparently that is something that has to be earned by crazy ass win streaks while champion.
Best Fighter on the planet.
im not going to address the moronic statement made in your first sentence but the second, whether it be appropriate or not, was proved not to be true with the edgar/henderson and even technically edgar/maynard albeit that was a draw.
I bet Anderson keeps his hands up this time
the fact of the matter is this: the game is getting faster and stronger and AS is losing a battle with father time. Arguably one of the greatest streaks ever, but last saturday he passed the torch.
Welcome to Sunnyvale.
No, wait..Fuck you!
I doubt it to TBEAR as AS uses the hands down to bate them into over commenting, but I do agree it won't be as bad with Chris.lol.
Just hope Chris sticks to his game plan and does it again.
