because that is Chris' fault that your BOB decided to "act a fool".

It's not cw's fault, but that doesn't make it any less true. Just like Velasquez vs dos santos 1, we didn't see te real fight sorta speak. We saw silva get caught, and he got caught while acting the fool. This fight is not going to be the same fight...

I'm betting all those fighters still believe in CW. Silva getting ktfo while employing a strategy he's used often has many fans believing he'll just be less cocky and throttle CW. Haven't read any posts thinking Silva will grind out a hard fought victory. There seems to be delusion on a grand scale. CW proved himself in that fight. I'd say it's a pick'em.
Agreed. It sort of feels like Penn vs Edgar II where hardly anybody (including me) gave Edgar a chance in the rematch.

Glad to see this happening again next. Silva earned his rematch and I'm so glad Dana knew that. Should be another barnburner !! Can't wait for this one to go down!

Did you see a trilogy with Machida and Shogun? My guess would be Silva vs Jon Jones would be next. These super fights will happen so they may as well just go ahead and get it over with...

I think if Silva wins by split decision, unlikely as that may be, I think that would definitely set up a trilogy fight. After that, maybe Silva gets a super fight with either Jones or GSP. I'd say Jones is the more likely of those two, since GSP hasn't committed to the idea of it.

Of course if Silva demolishes Weidman, I think they'd be quick to set up Jones or GSP.

This fight can't be compared to frankie v penn. Those were competitive, here it was more a case of getting caught. Silva never really put no offense in. Weidman shined on the ground. His stand up looked whatever, Serra also caught gsp. The rematch will be interesting but I think Weidman has a better chance grinding a decision.

Silva's also not known for getting knocked the fuck out. Well he didn't used to be anyway...

I don't understand. Are you saying anytime someone gets knocked out, we didn't get to see a real fight? Cain/JDS 1 was "the real fight" on that night. I'm pretty sure JDS went into that fight with the intention of knocking his opponent out, and Cain knew that's what JDS would try to do. And it still ended the way it did that night.

That's because most people thought Shogun won the first fight (Machida had been more or less untouchable up until that point), and he certainly won the second fight. There was no need for a rubbermatch between those two at the time.

If Silva comes out and destroys him, which I am one of them that think he will come out focused and swinging, then everyone will pretty much know that his first loss since 2006 was not because his opponent was better, but because AS was dicking around not taking it seriously.

If, however, it's a grueling match like the first Chael fight, then not so much; regardless of if he wins. And that would be the source of an immediate 3rd fight.

Edit: And, if for some strange reason only AS knows, he comes out dicking around again.........then I am going to hope for another loss in the same manner........and I won't be looking forward to anymore fights of his. But that is only if he comes out dicking around again.......I can't, in this Universe or beyond, see that happening.
