A fractured hand has forced lightweight Quinn Mulhern (18-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) to withdraw from a scheduled matchup with Ryan Couture (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC 164.

Stepping in for the injured fighter is "The Ultimate Fighter 15" finalist Al Iaquinta (5-2-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who returns after an injury forced him to withdraw from a matchup with Joe Proctor at UFC 159.

The Las Vegas Sun first reported the switch, which then was confirmed by UFC officials. UFC 164 takes place Aug. 31 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The event's main-card airs live on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.

Couture vs. Iaquinta likely will serve as part of the preliminary card.
