It looks like it might be time to remove fan-favorite Dan Henderson from the discussion when it comes to criticizing the role Testosterone Replacement Therapy plays in Mixed Martia Arts. Henderson, who openly admitted to undergoing TRT treatments in the past, has either dropped the practice completely or at least didnít feel it was necessarily going into his most recent rumble.

According to Manitoba Combative Sports Commission, who oversaw Hendersonís light heavyweight outing against Rashad Evans at UFC 161, no Therapeutic Use Exemptions were issued for the event. Likewise, none of the ten fighters randomly tested for banned substances returned a positive hit.

The 42-year old Henderson lost a hard-fought Split Decision to Evans, his second straight defeat in such a manner. He has yet to comment on the situation or the effect his decision had on his performance.

Dan didnt request a TUE for TRT in Manitoba?

Are you sure about that? Is it not possible Dan was turned down by the Manitoba commission for his exemption request?

Other sites are running their articles as Dan was denied an exemption...

The veteran fighter, a former champion for Pride and Strikeforce, is one of several fighters known to be on a TRT program.

But he apparently had to come off it for his UFC 161 fight in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada after the local athletic commission declined to give any exemptions for the card.

“We are not able to comment on specific individuals medical information at this time due to Provincial Privacy Legislation… I believe we indicated no TUE's were granted for any fighters on UFC 161,” commission representative Joel Fingard told Bleacher Report.
