Bellator's ninth season and second season on Spike TV begins Sept. 7 with Bellator 98 at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn. It will wrap up with Bellator 109 on Nov. 22 at Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa.

Unlike past seasons, Season 9 for the promotion won't include a week break in the middle. With two exceptions, Season 9 events will be on Friday nights. The season-opening Bellator 98 will take place on a Saturday, as will the company's inaugural pay-per-view effort on Nov. 2.

Prior to the Nov. 2 pay-per-view event in Long Beach, Calif., Spike TV will air Bellator's "Road to the Championships" during the regular Friday night time slot on Nov. 1.

Along with Bellator 109 in Pennsylvania, other new additions to the schedule are Bellator 102 on Oct. 4 in Visalia, Calif.; Bellator 104 on Oct. 18 in Cedar Rapids for the promotion's first visit to Iowa; Bellator 105 on Oct. 25 in Rio Rancho, N.M., the same site as Wednesday night's Bellator 97 "Summer Series" event; and Bellator 107 on Nov. 8 in Thackerville, Okla., which hosted Bellator 96 in June.
