Default Pat Healy vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov added to UFC 165 in Toronto

An intriguing lightweight matchup between eight-time Strikeforce veteran Pat Healy (29-16 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and undefeated Russian prospect Khabib Nurmagomedov (20-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) has been added to September's UFC 165 event.

UFC officials today announced the new booking. While the bout's positioning on the evening's official lineup was not revealed, it seems destined for a main-card slot.

Featuring a pair of championship matchups, "UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson" takes place Sept. 21 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. The evening's main card airs on pay-per-view following preliminary bouts that air on FOX Sports 1 and stream on Facebook.

Man, this is an awesome fight. Really looking forward to seeing if Khabib is ready for the step up and to see his defensive grappling.

I definitely think Khabib is ready for the step up. If he can get past Healy then we'll really know he's ready for the top of the division.

Khabib has looked very impressive so far, I hope he beats Healy.

I'm actually guessing Healy will be the favorite (and he's my pick too). There are two many questions around KN still and I don't think he's shown anything striking that will give Healy problems.

Dangerous fight for Healy. KN is a beast. The Eagle has beat four straight UFC guys. I think Healy is a step up, but Gleison Tibau is no punk. I feel that KN is just younger, faster, and more eplosive; but we will see.

Poor Healy if he gets owned. He would go from finishing a tough tough man in Miller and winning two bonuses to having a fight overturned and then getting a undefeated prospect. If Healy wins this will look really good, if not his stock is on lifesupport.
