Default Rashad Evans wants 全hogun' if Rua beats Chael Sonnen

After contemplating a drop down to middleweight, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans has decided to stay put.

"Suga" recently ended his two-fight skid by defeating Dan Henderson via split decision at UFC 161 last month and now that he's back in the winner's circle, he isn't looking to let up, as he eyes a fight against another former division champion Mauricio Rua.

But only if the Brazilian striker manages to topple Chael Sonnen in the main event of UFC Fight Night 26 on Aug. 17, 2013 in Boston, Mass.

    From "UFC Tonight:"

"Rashad has nixed a move to 185, and wants to fight in October or so. He zeroed in on the winner of Sonnen vs. Shogun. He says, 選 have a lot of respect for Chael, but I'd really like to fight him."

It'd be a good fight but I think Shogun is going to lose.

Any fight with Rashad I am on board to watch so I would love to see him fight Rua. I personally believe he can beat Rua and further could do so in dominating fashion...if the Dan Hendo fight actually did wake him up and put a fire under his ass.

I think Rua has one more title run in him. A win against Sonnen, the former #1 contendHUUUUUUURRRRRRPPPHHHHHH (sorry, threw up in my mouth a bit), and then Rashad Evans would put him in the running.

That's a fight I've wanted to see for a while and it would be a great time for it to happen. Like I needed MORE reasons to cheer for Shogun.

Worst matchup at LHW for Shogun short of Jones.

My thoughts exactly, mind you I'm not convinced shogun will get past sonnen so this might not materialize anyways.

Traditional boxing with handspeed and solid takedowns.
