Default Glover Teixeira is the guy to beat light heavyweight champion Jon Jones

Lyoto Machida has some serious faith in Glover Teixeira's abilities.

"I think Glover, he's great technique, he's a very strong guy. He's training to fight and he can beat Jon Jones one day. He's good. He's difficult to take him down, he defends all the time and good cardio too. I think Glover can beat Jon Jones."

    I do not think so.
Jones is just in a whole different level from all other LHWs. Teixeira is obviously good and maybe he can go to the distance with Jones, but I see him getting dominated for 5 rounds.
He may be hard to take down, well Chael Sonnen is also not that easy to take down and Jones treated him like a little puppy.

Machida may have a chance against Jones because his style is very umpredictable, maybe Mousasi may have a chance too.
But I do not see anyone at LHW capable of beating him.

At HW I only see Cain, Cormier and Cigano as candidates.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

"He doesn't write his own material. Some homo in Queens living in his mother's basement in his underwear is writing Chael's material for him." - DON FRYE.

I think Jones is a bad matchup for Goose and gets by him easy. I think Glover is a well deserving opponent for Jones but Jones will defeat him, even finish him. I might be in the minority here, but I think the guy with the best chance to dethrone Jones is Machida. Hope a rematch with the two happens within the next year.
Favorite Fights: Jonny Bones Jones, Wandy, Hendo, Cain, Matt Hughes, Melvin.

Most disliked fighters: Michael Bisping, Spankie Edgar, Alistair Overeem, Anderson Silva, Tim Sylvia, Chuck Liddell

Glover has nothing for Jones.Look how he's looked lately. He's slow, idk where the fuck his cardio was in the Rampage and Maldonado fights. I'm not denying his talent but he's not the guy. Anyway lets wait and see how the bader fight plays out. Idk but I think bader can probably grind a decision if he's smart.
