Default WSoF plans four-man lightweight championship tourney

    http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news...nship-tourney/

MMA Fighting reports that World Series of Fighting is planning a four-man tournament to crown the promotion's first lightweight champion. Entrants will be:
•Nick Newell (if he defeats Keon Caldwell at WSoF 4 on Aug. 10
    •Justin Gaethje
    •Dany Lauzon
•Winner of WSOF 4's JZ Cavalcante vs. Tyson Griffin.

The semi-final fights will likely take place on the same card at the end of the year. WSoF has events planned from Aug, Sept, Oct, and December.

The two semi-final fights will "most likely" take place on the same card at the end of the year. Following August's card, the promotion has three more events scheduled for 2013 in September, October and December.

WSOF is also holding a four-man middleweight championsip tournament at WSOF 5 in September:
    •Dave Branch vs. Danillo Villefort
    •Elvis Mutapcic vs. Jesse Taylor

If they're doing a tourney, why have the two biggest name fighters fight to get into it? Even a gimped up JZ(and by which, I mean his brutal knee problems) would nuke Newell and I don't see him getting past Tyson.

Finally we can answer the age old question: If a man with no knees fights a man with one arm, who would win?
