Default Rampage vs Tito Ortiz on November 2nd in Bellator

Bellator books Rampage Jackson vs Tito Ortiz PPV fight at Long Beach Convention Center on Nov. 2

Tito Ortiz will emerge from self-imposed mixed martial arts (MMA) retirement to fight good friend and former training partner Quinton Jackson on the first-ever Bellator pay-per-view (PPV) that is planned for Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., on Nov. 2, 2013.

"Rampage" made the shocking announcement during the Bellator 97 broadcast this evening (July 31, 2013), which emanated from Santa Ana Star Casino in Rio Rancho, N.M., using a rumored boxing match against Roy Jones Jr. as a decoy prior to introducing "Huntington Beach Bad Boy."

    His revelation:

"I'm training hard, I'm motivated. I found my love for MMA again now that I'm with a reputable company that knows how to treat its fighters. It's on! Don't believe everything you read on the Internet -- I don't know how that rumor ever got so big, but, you know, I'm down to fight Roy -- I'm a big fan of his. He's one of the best boxers ... he's the man. I've seen him knockout guys without even using his hands! This time, I'm going to give the fans what they want, my first fight in Bellator I want it to be an MMA fight ... not a boxing match."

Cue Ortiz, who walked out of the dressing room in his full get up to declare:

"I've fought the best of the best in the world -- I've been fighting for a long, long time. Rampage, too. We've trained with each other, been friends for a long time, but it's time to put the friendship aside. It's about giving the fans what they want, and the best fight possible is going to happen here in Bellator

    I thought they were boys?
I really believe that people like Bill Murray or John Belushi are just as great and just as valid as Robert De Niro or Al Pacino. And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.

They probs gunna spend their training camps together scripting together some WWE type of performance so they can both get pay check.

    PPV

And I think so, the bars pay the PPV provider not the UFC directly.

I had thought Rampage was going to fight heavyweight. Maybe it'll be a catchweight fight at 220?

I would certainly like to see it, provided both are healthy upon enterig the cage.

Oh man, imagine the number of excuses by both fighters after the fights.

"Tito Ortiz wasn't man enough to stand up with me. He kept trying to take me down! Blah, Blah, Blah"

"I trained hard for this fight, but I couldn't give my best cause I was fighting with a cracked skull, not to mention a pair of missing balls, as Jenna stole those away from me too! Blah, Blah, Blah"

It's gonna be an intriguing fight, only because both guys have been household names for years. But I hope nobody is expecting a war between these two. I reckon it will be something like Rampage/Hamill fight, except Tito will cover up more, and Rampage will go easy on him out of respect of their friendship.

Tito said this is giving the fans what they want, and that this is the best fight possible. I disagree.

Seems like this is counter to Bjorn saying he doesn't want to build his promotion off of former UFC fighters
