I think he was right on the button. Machida is predictable now and fighters and judges are figuring him out, hence his loss here and the split decisions he's been having lately with the tougher opponents.

The scoring is a fucking joke. What about the tds machida reversed and landed on top? You don't see nobody talking about that. Davis did not do better than anybody in the striking, he may have cut angles a little better but only 3 power shots to the face ain't shit.

Who really cares who won? The fight was boring regardless.

Who cares??? I'm the one who had to look my wife in the eyes after donning my Machida Black House shirt all evening just to witness that travesty of a decision. I sat on my couch, complete with smug look, gloating how Machida had it in the bag. I heard "by unanimous decision"...arms raised..."Mr. Wonderful, Phil Davis!"...slowly adducting...feelings of shame and dirtiness...my wife's eyes. Those eyes. Who cares, you ask? Sir, how dare you!?

    Judges doing a horrible job?

    How very surprising.

Maybe you should learn how they actually score fights and you won't be "shocked" by the decisions any more. Whether you like it or not takedowns count for a lot in MMA. As they should since they show effective grappling, aggression and octagon control. Scoring criteria the judges are told to use.
Dude, Iím a wrestler. Iím the best wrestler in MMA. Wrestling IS, was and always has been the most dominate form of mix martial art on the planet. Thatís all there is to it. We all know it, some people want to fight it, some people want doubt it but wresters rule the MMA world. -

It's not the judges job to "figure Machida out" it's their job to score the fight.

Landing a take down with seconds left in the round and doing nothing with it should not win the round. There is no way Davis won that fight.

So stuffed takedowns aren't considered any form of control? Hmmm...
