Florida super team The Blackzilians has become well-known for attracting top name MMA fighters to its ranks. Is it now branching out into kickboxing as well?

Former K-1 champion Alistair Overeem is a Blackzilian, though he now fights for the UFC, and top-ranked light-heavyweight kickboxer Tyrone Spong also calls the team home.

Over the last weeks The Blackzilians camp, housed in the Jaco Training Center, has also housed some big name kickboxers from Holland.

Gokhan Saki and Murthel Groenhart both fight out of Mike’s Gym in Amsterdam but have recently been photographer training and hanging out at The Blackzilians camp. We’ve seen this happen in the past, usually right before the fighter is announced as a new team member.

Saki and Groenhart fight for GLORY, which has taken over from K-1 as the premier kickboxing league, as does Spong. GLORY recently signed a Spike TV deal and shows will begin airing live later this year. This is kickboxing’s big push into the US marketplace - maybe Saki and lightweight contender Groenhart are getting there early.
