Default Sonnen challenges Evans to fight at UFC 167

    http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news...ht-at-UFC-167/

With Wanderlei Silva still recovering from an injury, and Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort already matched up, Chael Sonnen is left without an opponent he's interested in. UFC President Dana White earlier this week suggested a potential bout with Phil Davis, however Sonnen has plans of his own:

@sonnench: @SugaRashadEvans Hey Rashad, let me ask you a question... You busy Nov 16th?

@SugaRashadEvans: Nah not really!! What's up?

@sonnench: Ill give you one hint... pic.twitter.com/8zdT6AnZXw

@SugaRashadEvans: @sonnench @rossfinkelstein that looks like a good idea to me! I knew you had something you really wanted to say to me yesterday on the show!

The tone of the tweets seem friendly, so it's unsure if Sonnen is serious about the bout with Evans or maybe a fan just made a poster and Sonnen showed it to Evans.
And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus

Don't see anyway Chael wins this fight. His wrestling is nullified or inferior and his stand-up isn't even close.

Rashad's stand up hasn't been anything spectacular as of late.

Still, it's Sonnen's stand up/lack of pop in his punches. I think this would end up being a pretty uneventful fight overall.

Yeah and he put himself as the main event and moved GSP vs Hendricks to the co main event haha

This fight for me is more interesting than the one against Davis.

However I would have prefered Sonnen vs Wandy, Machida, Belfort or Mousasi
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

Lil Nog vs Rashad all over again? Nah as much as I don't like Sonnen the one thing I can't say is that I have seen him in a boring fight. Its more interesting than Davis because at least we know Rashad has some power behind his strikes.

i agree chael is one of the more exciting fighters in the history of MMA who uses a primarily wrestling based plan of attack.
