Default Stefan Struve diagnosed with heart condition

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/8/20...eart-condition

On Tuesday's episode of UFC Tonight, it was reported that Stefan Struve has been diagnosed with a leaking aortic valve, as well an enlarged heart. Struve is currently in good spirits but is still waiting to see if he will be able to resume his promising MMA career.

Hopefully he does not retire. He is not championship material but he is a solid fighter.
Semmy Schilt retired recently also because of some heart issues, but damn, Schilt is 40 or something like that. Struve is much younger.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

Poor guy, I hope he can resume his career at full health.

Saw this tonight. Absolutely horrible for such a talented fighter. Hopefully the meds fix the issue, or that surgery helps him recover fully, and gives him not only a long healthy career but life as well.

    Shit. Terrible news.

Struve has always been exciting whether he is getting finished or doing the finishing. Remember when he split his bottom lip nearly in half? So bloody.

    Hope he will be okay.

I have no idea what the timetable for recovery is on heart issues, but I'm thinking that he's not fighting anymore. Glad I saw his fights, and will never forget the fight with Hunt.

Atrial septal defect (ASD) probably. Could be training 3 months after surgery if so depends on results of surgery.

Man, I hope he gets better. It'd be a shame for him to retire so young.
