BJJ champ Kron Gracie has signed with Real Fight and is set to make his MMA debut later this year.

Kron Gracie, the youngest son of BJJ royalty Rickson Gracie, is set to make his MMA debut later this year. As announced during a press conference on Monday, the 25-year-old grappler has signed with the Chinese-based promotion Real Fight Championship, who is expanding internationally and will be heading to Japan for this event.

A few months back, Kron spoke about his MMA debut and much like most members of his family, he considers it as a way to represent and showcase BJJ again. "Taking fists in the face is not as difficult as I thought. Jiu-Jitsu is a lot harder than Boxing, more complex sport. I'm here to show that Jiu-Jitsu is still the best martial art."

I sure hope that statement doesn't come back to bite him in the ass.

I guess that would all depend on who you are boxing against.
