Yes he is. He has obvious holes in his game but so far he has defeated a lot of very good fighters.
Youngest champion ever, and he has basically cleaned out his division.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

IMO, greatness is measured by performing through great adversity.

He's clearly the most dominant and easily the most gifted. However, I will reserve goat until I see him truly tested against someone of equal skill.

He is truly amazing, though. I hate him, but he is truly amazing.

You wouldn't say he was tested against Goose?

Not against a GREAT challenger. I see Gus as being equal in stature but not in skills. I might be selling him short but it's simply my opinion; akin to Buster Douglas beating Tyson.

I'm struggling to think of a light heavyweight title fight in recent memory where the champion overcame more adversity to come away with the win. Machida / Shogun 1 maybe?
Goose more than held his own on the feet and shut down Bones's wrestling which has always been the backbone of his game. Jones was taken to some uncomfortable places and got better as the fight wore on. I'd say he's officially been tested.

Jones is the LHW GOAT for me. Hendo would be up there, but time is on Jones side to put it beyond all doubt.

I'm still waiting to declare him GOAT. He has beaten a great list of fighters. He fought through adversity last weekend. But the reach advantage and size advantage come into play for me as well. He did have ALOT of trouble with the first guy his size that he fought and that's what holds me back on calling him GOAT. BUT....he is so young and has already done so much. I'll give it a little while longer. So I guess as of right now, I would say no.

Wow man, I don't know if I've ever disagreed with you more. I think you're selling Goose waaaaay short.
