Default Dana White claims B.J. Penn is 'almost' on weight already

    http://www.mmamania.com/2013/10/20/4...weight-already

UFC President Dana White was asked about Penn after last night's (Oct. 19, 2013) UFC 166 post-fight press conference and said that Penn will surprise a lot of people.

"First of all, everyone is questioning his weight? He's almost there now. Wait till you see how skinny he is, it's crazy. BJ is one of those guys, once he sets his mind to something this is what he's decided to do. He believes he's going to rip through these guys and win that title and I love that. That's what I want guys here for. That's why when the older guys try and come back, I ask 'why?' You're at this age, you've accomplished so many things, look what BJ Penn has accomplished. BJ Penn built the 155 pound division at a time when people used to go, 'Oh those guys are too small, we don't want to see the small guys fight. Those guys will never be a pay-per-view draw.' BJ was one of the biggest PPV draws in the UFC at the time."

BJ being almost at weight for a great fight is awesome. BJ staying interested long enough to stay at that weight and conditioned to "rip through these guys" would be something completely different.

This hype is working on me, hook, line, and sinker. I'm a huge BJ fan and can't wait to see how he performs at 145.

If he is working with Dolce, I believe he probably is close to weight.

    This means nothing yet.
Thousand of times we have heard about how a fighter this time is really motivated and in amazing shape and blah blah blah, and then in the fight they look as if they barely trained.

BJ Penn is not the same fighter he used to be and he will never be that fighter again. I like him and I would like him to beat Edgar, but I do not see that happening at all.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

The cornermen BJ brings to his fights are some of the worst cornermen I've ever seen.

If BJ can't bring himself to separate from those hacks, he'll never be relevant in any division.
