  1. Default UFC Fight Night 30 official weigh-in results: Headliners clear, Lineker heavy

MANCHESTER – UFC Fight Night 30 fighter weigh-ins took place today, and headliners Lyoto Machida (185) and

Mark Munoz (186) each made weight for their contest without issue. The same could not be said for top flyweight contender John Lineker.

The weigh-ins took place in front of a rowdy crowd at Manchester Central in England. The following day's FOX Sports 2-televised event takes place at the nearby phones4U Arena.

Despite competing for the first time as a middleweight, former UFC light-heavyweight champion Machida had no problem making weight in his new division, not even needing the one pound allowance. However, flyweight Lineker weighed 128 pounds and was given an additional hour to lose the necessary two pounds. He ultimately elected not to cut the remaining weight and was fined 20 percent of his purse. Lineker has now missed the flyweight mark in three of his five UFC appearances.

    The full weigh-in results include:

    • Lyoto Machida (185) vs. Mark Munoz (186)

    • Melvin Guillard (155) vs. Ross Pearson (156)

    • Ryan Jimmo (204) vs. Jimi Manuwa (205)

    • Norman Parke (155) vs. Jon Tuck (155)

    • Nicholas Musoke (186) vs. Alessio Sakara (185)

    • Phil Harris (125) vs. John Lineker (128)*

    • Piotr Hallmann (155) vs. Al Iaquinta (155)

    • Luke Barnatt (185) vs. Andrew Craig (186)

    • Jessica Andrade (134) vs. Rosi Sexton (135)

    • Cole Miller (146) vs. Andy Ogle (145)

    • Jimy Hettes (145) vs. Robert Whiteford (145)

    • Michael Kuiper (185) vs. Brad Scott (186)

    * - Lineker was fined 25 percent of his purse

Jeez, Lineker is goofing himself up here by missing weight yet again.

Looking at the lack of depth at 125, he should potentially be on a fast track to a title shot or at least a contendership bout given his exciting style and win streak, but three times missed weight doesn't win him any favours.

  3. Default

He clearly has trouble making the weight and who knows the damage he's doing physically.
