The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight prospect doesn't feel like waiting around for UFC matchmaker Joe Silva to arrange all the pieces of the 265-pound puzzle and has instead gone into business for himself, calling for a future fight against Brazilian behemoth Gabriel Gonzaga.

UFC Tonight brought word of the potential pairing on Wednesday night.

I'd like to see it. Should be an exciting fight and it makes sense rankings wise too.

I would love to see GG go on a winning streak, most won't agree with this but I strongly believe GG at his best is a HW champion. He has natural KO power, super strong, and some of the best BJJ in the world, unfortunate for him he sometimes comes into a fight mentally weak or just has a low fight IQ.

I don't mind the fight but ranking wise wouldn't it be a step down from Nelson?

    Werdum vs Valasquez
    Barnett vs Browne
    Hunt vs Bigfoot
    Overeem vs Mir

So who else is there with JDS on the shelf for a while?
    Big Nog and GG.
Who is there left that is coming off a win?
    GG.

I'm sure Stipe did the same math. It's the fight that makes the most sense, unless Stipe wants to wait.

It could be a good fight. While it wouldn't entice me to buy a card, it would be a fight I'd look forward to watching.

Yes, thats why I ask. Roy was on a tear before losing to Stipe, where as GG just lost to Browne in his last fight.
