How offended would ppl be if I wore a sports bra that said 'white pride' during on of my fights - or even a tattoo?

@MichelleOuldMMA This is one of those things where if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't do it.

    Michelle Ould @MichelleOuldMMA
@stormlandbrand seriously? Not only is it a rhetorical ? But it's a free country-ppl tend to forget. Only weak cowards are afraid to ask

@stormlandbrand and if things such as these were never asked or challenged we would never grow as a species or civilization

    And why not?
Cain has that tatoo and most people are like "It is awesome that he is so proud of his Mexican heritage". I do not see why a white pride tatoo or bra should be offensive for anyone.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

The term Brown Pride does not hold the social connotations the term White Pride holds.

98% of the people wanting to talk about White Pride are either racists or ignorant to the implications of the term.

'Brown Pride' is not an embraced term used by racist Mexican hate groups the way the term 'White Pride' has been by groups such as the KKK, Storm Front or numerous other groups of inbred hillbilly cousin fuckers.

And really, why does it bother anyone Cain is proud of his Mexican heritage?

No, I have never heard of the gang or the anyone associate Cain's tattoo to gang life.

I dont think Ould was insinuating gang association when questioning his tattoo, unless she wants to show her support to the White Pride gangs which would be career suicide.

Dana White: Only 'idiots' blame 'Brown Pride' tattoo for Cain Velasquez exclusion from EA Sports UFC video game cover vote
    http://www.mmamania.com/2013/11/7/50...cover-vote-mma

It won't be Cain Velasquez, that's for sure, as reports coming out of this week's UFC Fight Night 31 conference call revealed that the gaming giant couldn't come to terms with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion to be one of the 16 fighters eligible to be voted on by fans to grace the cover alongside "Bones."

While the exact deal-stalling reasons weren't revealed, UFC President Dana White seems to think Velasquez felt he should have received an automatic spot on the cover, as well. He is, after all, the "the baddest man on the planet," a title that comes when you're the owner of the 265-pound title.

White gave his take during a recent conference call:

"It's not like we haven't been in this situation before. I would like Cain to be in there, but I think there were other reasons for Cain not coming to a deal. I just think Cain feels like he's the heavyweight champion, he doesn't want to be in a vote to be on the cover. What am I going to do about that, disagree with him? He's like, 'I'm the heavyweight champion, I gotta be voted on to see if I'm on the cover of the game? I'm the heavyweight champ, if you don't think I should be, then I don't want to be in a vote.' I can't blame him for that."

When asked if he thought Cain's "Brown Pride" tattoo was a stalling point in the negotiations, White had this to say:

"Oh, hell no! Nobody has a problem with that. Only idiots on the internet have a problem with that."

This has nothing to do with "white guilt". I dont think anyone of any race should be promoting hate material against other races.

No one can show that they are proud to be white only because racist gangs use the words: "White pride"
They invented those words? They own those words? Obviously Not! So I do not see any problem with someone showing that he/she is proud to be white.
So tell me more about this 'proud to be white' white pride you talk of.... Is it based off someone being proud of their culture or someone being proud of their ethnicity / nationality / race?

It does not matter how you understand the term White Pride, what matters is the social constructs attached to the term. You say White Pride and the majority of your listeners are going to assume you are speaking about or implying the racists aspects of the term. Now if you were to say Russian Pride, that would be a whole different story.

Do a quick google search, White Pride and then Brown Pride. Check out the web search and the image searches and think about the differences in what you are seeing. Brown pride is about being proud of the Latino / Hispanic / Chicano cultures. A search of white pride will bring up a bunch of racist sites, groups and pictures. Nothing to do with culture.... And no white heritage groups are not celebrating and promoting white culture.

So, am I to assume that the only "brown" people with any pride are Mexican? Because I'm pretty sure 70+% of the world would disagree.

Personally, I think it's awesome that he's so proud of SOMEONE ELSE'S culture. Because he's not Mexican, he's an American.
