Nova Uniao welterweight Hernani Perpetuo (17-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is the latest addition to the UFC roster.

Brazilian outlet Combate today reported the 28-year-old has signed a multi-fight deal with the world's largest MMA promotion, and subsequently confirmed the contract with sources close to the fighter.

A debut date and opponent for Perpetuo were not established.

Perpetuo fought most recently in August, when he won the Shooto welterweight belt with a five-round, unanimous-decision win over Tommy Depret.
