Default Antonio Rogerio Nogueira injured, out of Alexander Gustafsson fight

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/10/3...stafsson-fight
Just five days after UFC president Dana White announced a light heavyweight bout between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Alexander Gustafsson for the promotion's return to London, England on March 8, the UFC has been forced to change its plans.

"Minotouro" has withdrawn from the fight due to a lingering back injury, sources close to the situation confirmed with MMAFighting.com before White also confirmed the news with Ariel Helwani.

White added that there are no plans for Gustafsson's next fight yet. Gustafsson's team also said it heard the news but didn't know who the Swedish fighter will draw next.

Nogueira, who is expected to be ready to fight again in May, hasn't fought since his unanimous decision victory over Rashad Evans at UFC 156 in February. During his UFC career, the Brazilian light heavyweight has pulled out of multiple bouts due to injury, cancelling matches against Rich Franklin, Mauricio Rua, as well as Gustafsson back in April 2012. The same back injury forced him out of his UFC 161 rematch against Rua.

    I called this didn't I?
I really believe that people like Bill Murray or John Belushi are just as great and just as valid as Robert De Niro or Al Pacino. And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.

    Pretty easy prediction to make.

They need to stop scheduling fights for Lil Nog and tell him just to show up for a PPV when he's healthy and they'll find someone for him to fight then.

It does give them a nice opportunity to make the Gus vs DC fight at least.

He's need to rehab his injuries so he's completely healthy before he takes another fight.

and jon jones steps in...joking but one can wish right? Wouldnt that be a story, champion steps up on short notice to defend the belt in what could be a bigger rematch than Weidman/Silva - i bet that would be a fix to some of the shit ppv rating of late.

After their last fight, I doubt very much that Jones want to fight Gustafsson anytime soon.

How about Gustafsson vs Mousasi? Or Gustafsson vs Belfort? That would be a sick fight!
