He submitted trigg? Unless you count bj quitting as a verbal sub lol.

I'm going to guess and say Steve Strasser.

I'd also counter and say if Jake fought guys like Sherk, and Trigg, and Hardy and Hughes he'd have more than just 10 subs.

I'm not saying Jake is a better fighter than Georges. I'm saying he doesn't blanket, and that he's a better submission grappler.

I WISH the answer was Dan Hardy by kimura or armbomb.

I think the answer is Frank Trigg by RNC. That was a huge win when it happened!

I honestly do. In 2006, at least.

I don't think he could get Hughes or Sherk to the ground. Probably sub Trigg, but I don't think he subs the other two. I see your point though.

Jake was already a bonafide MONSTER grappling by 2006...less than a year away from his GJJ blackbelt, and had already kicked ass at the ADCC the year before, among the rest of his accolades. Georges wasn't as strong of a submission grappler at that point...if he can even be said to be as good as Jake was 6 years ago. Granted, he set up the Hughes sub with strikes, but I still think Jake had a great shot of finishing Matt at that point...particularly if he faced him in that period after Georges had taken the belt.

    Renato Verissimo
    He's not subbing Charuto.

He's KO him, but definitely not subbing him.

On a side note, I thought Charuto beat Hughes circa 2004.
