Hendricks: Diaz doesn't deserve title shot, but I'd fight him
Although Hendricks believes it will be Condit or Woodley who's next in line, should he earn the title, he'll fight whomever the UFC asks.

“If I win this fight, it’s going to be between one of them two,” he today told MMAjunkie.

“Carlos is always a tough opponent; same thing with Woodley,” Hendricks said. “Those two, they’re fighting the same night. But a fight’s a fight. You never know what’s going to happen. You just have to say whoever wants to come after you, let them come at you, and you move forward from that.”

Asked whether he would fight Diaz in his first defense of the welterweight belt, Hendricks initially joked, “What do they say, no comment?”

Then, he added: “Realistically, I think he needs to fight a couple of times. What is he, 0-2 in his last few fights? It is what it is, but if the UFC said, ‘Hey Johny, you’ve got to fight him,’ well guess what? I’m not going to say no.”

He would send Nick back into retirement.

I'm not sure. Diaz actually matches up well vs Hendricks. Hendricks has a very short reach and hasn't really shown much of a jiu jitsu game.

Nick has a tendency of taking a lot of shots against guys and even though he has a solid chin I don;t think it be a good to do so against a guy like Hendricks.. even with a reach disadvantage he closes that gap pretty quickly.

I think he's certainly capable of grinding out a win using his wrestling anyways.. and that would send Nick back into retirement cause he'd be all pissy about losing that way again.
