Jimi Manuwa surprised Alexander Gustafsson isn't ducking him ahead of UFC London

That's something that came as a surprise to "Poster Boy," who was convinced "The Mauler" would turn the fight down to protect his spot in the division's pecking order, according to comments Manuwa made to Fighters Only:

"Alex is a huge test for me, but it is one I have long dreamed of. I'm ready to take this opportunity to climb up the light-heavyweight ladder and get closer to my goal of being a UFC champion. I asked for this fight and thought Alex would avoid me, but he is a true professional and I have great respect for him. [Gustafsson] knows my record and he knows how unpredictable every fight can be in the UFC. We've seen Silva, Jones and GSP all showing their vulnerability this year."
And if you want beef, then bring the ruckus

he is 14-0 with 13 knockouts and 1 submission. There isn't much indication that this is an easy win.

Gustafsson fought Jones, why he would duck anyone?

But Manuwa is not a joke, I don't think the fight will be that easy for Gus
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

Gus could give Manuwa real problems on the ground, and emptying Manuwa's gas tank with shots on the ground wouldn't be a bad strategy to employ. Manuwa's knock out power is obviously his greatest weapon, and I think the longer this fight lasts, the more the advantage goes to the Mauler.

Favourite Fighters: A. Silva, Velasquez, Swanson, Bisping, W. Silva, Barnett, Faber, Dos Santos, Manuwa, McCall, Pickett & Poirier
Least-Favourite Fighters: Story, Sylvia, Browne & Lentz

    0-1 on sig bets.

Gus takes this fight but I don't see it being an easy fight for him.

I find it amusing some folk are sleeping on Manuwa and have been calling this fight a gift to Goose.

Manuwa's only chance is that Gustaffsson injures his leg.
