Kim maybe? He's the only one I see higher ranked than Woodley who isn't coming off of a loss or already booked.

But Condit finished him emphatically. No need for a rematch.

I agree. But unless they are going to pull Jake Shields or Hector Lombard and feed them to Condit, the only other fighters ranked in the top 15 who aren't coming off of a lose is Diaz (turned it down) Woodley (turned down) Brown (injured) or Kim.

They are going to have to break up one of their fights that are already booked. Nobody available makes any sense to put in a #1 contender match. I think McDonald, Shields or Maia make the most sense.

Anyone know the extent of Browns injury and how long he's expected to be out? I'm really bummed he isn't getting this opportunity.

McDonald and Maia are both coming off loses. Shelds should get it, I think they'll give it to Lombard.

I realize they are coming off of losses, but their streaks are much more impressive than Sheilds before their losses, especially McDonalds, and I'm no fan of his. And it's not like giving a title shot to someone coming off a loss. If they got a title shot it would be after a good streak, one loss, and then a win over a top contender. That's better to me than just a kinda weak streak getting you a title shot.

I guess. Really wish Diaz would take the fucking fight.

I think they'll pull Lombard since they need explosive challengers going forward and Shields isn't going to move the needle at all in a main or co-main spot. I was a little perplexed to hear them matching the two of them up to begin with given how Shields plays spoiler, isn't a draw, is kind of a casual fan card killer and could very well deflate Lombard's WW stock and they really need exciting guys at WW to pick up some of the slack at WW.

Rory/Condit II has been in the works forever but those stars have never been able to align and coming off a loss, both Rory or Demian Maia shouldn't really be "in the conversation". Kampmann is a no-go, given he just dropped the rematch with Condit and I don't see them having enough confidence in pushing Woodley until he gets one more win against somebody with a little more steam than Kos.

I think a Condit/Ellenberger rematch could be pretty fun, but again, coming off a loss and not necessarily the most developed fighter, I'm unsure if Ellenberger, who had been on a helluva run prior to the Kampmann fight, is really the kind of guy to throw in there with Condit again, I think he'd get outworked.

Condit's in a weird spot, he's lost to GSP and had a helluva bout with Hendricks, but with wins over Kampmann, Stungun, Diaz, Hardy, Ellenberger and Rory, he's basically bound to draw a rematch unless they have him against a Lombard or Shields.....

Wondering if they don't hold Condit on the sidelines to wait until the PPV to see if either Lawler or Hendricks get hurt and just plug Condit in, as he makes good sense.

They should pull McDonald from his fight and home he's actually exciting again...
