Default Fighter who had the most important win of their career this year.

which fighter probably had their most important win of their career up to this point? the obvious one out of all is weidman. he fought anderson when most thought he was pretty unbeatable.. he also beat him standing which makes it all the more important.. so what do you guys think? anyone else that could top him?

    Good thread idea.

I'd say Cain's win over JDS was crucial.

That's a GREAT point on Lawler.

Losing that fight could have moved him right down and quickly out of the UFC if he didn't rebound in a decisive way.

    What about Barnett?

Don't you think he HAD to win that fight?

    Pettis
    Lawler

Sheilds over Maia (with GSP leaving this had huge consequences for both fighters in the rankings and title shot-wise)

    Weidman easily hands down.

Lawler is up there too tho.
Pettis is not really a big deal to me because he just beat bendo again but obviously a great win
