    ...and there will never be another fighter like him.

    Well then, here is a Merry Christmas present for you:


    Gives a new meaning to the word clinic.

    Genki was one of the plank holders of Grabaka, and had a nice run in K1 as well. Unorthodox, charismatic, and never a dull moment...he was my very favorite fighter. He made the decision to retire while standing in a public bathroom when he read a sign that said "take one step forward." He has published several books of poetry and philosopy, makes odd/insane dance music [w/videos] with a Japanese group called the World Order, and coaches the wrestling team at Takashuko University in Tokyo, where he's getting a Masters in Public Policy.





    It should have rained the day Genki Sudo retired.

    Always has been one of my favorites. The day he retired I was pretty bummed.

    Great fighter!
    His loss to Ludwig still angers me. The rule of re-starting a fight from the same position was a result of that fight.
    and no need to get me started on his fight against Yamomoto.

    Never seen this clip before but I don't think I have ever seen any one do what he does there. That's what makes him great.
