White: Diaz declined, nobody wants to fight Khabib
A Twitter user tweeted to UFC President Dana White that he would like to see Khabib fight former lightweight number one contender Nate Diaz:

@edelzgin: @TeamKhabib @danawhite @NateDiaz209 all want to see this fight! pic.twitter.com/XEHDERFWUy

Dana White responded quickly to the user that the fight had been considered, but the Diaz camp turned the offer down:

@danawhite: @EDLEZGIN @TeamKhabib Nate turned the fight down

Nurmagomedov had previously been rumored to fight Gilbert Melendez, but the fight disappeared. So now it's still up in the air who the rising prospect will face next.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is the fighter everyone is talking about this weekend, and he hasn't said or done anything. Yesterday someone tweeted to Dana White that they would like to see Khabib fight Nate Diaz. White responded that they turned down the fight, which prompted Diaz himself to respond it wasn't true.

Diaz's management claims they were offered the fight, but couldn't come to terms on the financials.

One UFC lightweight who is however ready to take the fight is Michael Johnson who is riding an impressive two fight streak over two of the UFC's veteran lightweights:

Well @danawhite if @NateDiaz209 don't wanna scrap with me I think the people want me & @TeamKhabib @ufc
