    A Twitter user tweeted to UFC President Dana White that he would like to see Khabib fight former lightweight number one contender Nate Diaz:

    @edelzgin: @TeamKhabib @danawhite @NateDiaz209 all want to see this fight! pic.twitter.com/XEHDERFWUy

    Dana White responded quickly to the user that the fight had been considered, but the Diaz camp turned the offer down:

    @danawhite: @EDLEZGIN @TeamKhabib Nate turned the fight down

    Nurmagomedov had previously been rumored to fight Gilbert Melendez, but the fight disappeared. So now it's still up in the air who the rising prospect will face next.

    Khabib Nurmagomedov is the fighter everyone is talking about this weekend, and he hasn't said or done anything. Yesterday someone tweeted to Dana White that they would like to see Khabib fight Nate Diaz. White responded that they turned down the fight, which prompted Diaz himself to respond it wasn't true.

    Diaz's management claims they were offered the fight, but couldn't come to terms on the financials.

    One UFC lightweight who is however ready to take the fight is Michael Johnson who is riding an impressive two fight streak over two of the UFC's veteran lightweights:

    Well @danawhite if @NateDiaz209 don't wanna scrap with me I think the people want me & @TeamKhabib @ufc

    "Michael Johnson who is riding an impressive two fight streak "

    Well Khabib has a 5 win streak in the UFC and a 21 win streak in his MMA career. He must fight someone ranked higher than MJ
    Not only brazilians can do this stuff

    Shouldn't have too but probably will. The only aspect I like is seeing Johnson shut up.

    I wasn't aware that anyone here hated Johnson.
    Props to Johnson for volunteering for these tough fights.

    I enjoy Johnson fight and I would like to see him on his train of success. If he gets the fight with Khabib and can pass that test it will only look good on him and improve his stock.

    Khabib man handles the top 10 with the execptions of Grant, Henderson and maybe Pettis.

    If you can't come to terms on money then yes, you turned down the fight.

    I like Johnson's style. He seems like he's really trying to do what he has to do in order to be the best. I really can't not admire that type of drive. I also agree with Hawkeye, turning down a fight due to financials is turning down a fight. I can see why Nate would turn it down though, he could feel that fighting a wicked good prospect like Khabib isn't worth the risk and needs to be financially accommodated for such a risk to his own stock.
