Many fights better than jbj/Gus this year. That's a shame.

Rose definitely should have won SOTY. Her flying armbar was much better than Faber's sub. Matt Hume should definitely be a candidate and for coach of the year, arguably winning it. Those are the only real stand out issues I have with this list.

I'm not flipping out but Gus fought once.....and lost but got int'l foy while shlemenko had 3 title fights and won all of them.

Meh, this shit is a ufc dick suck party IMO.

Now that you mention. Why the fuck aren't any Brazillians in that category. Definitely over looked that one.

The only decisions I can agree with for the most part is Travis Browne being named Breakthrough FOTY and Team Alpha Male named best gym. Everything else is either debatable or just shitty decisions.

I agree! i thought big foot and hunt was the best bu the drug test probably ruined its chances. Wand and Silva was better imo as well I guess the fact that Jones not destroying someone was so shocking plus it was a title fight helped that fight get the nod,

I also can't believe pettis didn't even get nominated for best sub.

My sentiments exactly. Awards shows are BS as a whole.

eh asides from fight of the year maybe being chandler vs alvarez, I don't really think there was really anyone outside of the ufc that deserved any awards.
