340k is not very impressive lol. Especially not for the "ufc's biggest star".

The Faber fight was also short notice. No real news here

It isn't that much. But it's a lot more than that card deserved.

I thought that was bad by Fight Night standards.
Eh, it happens. UFC 149 was pretty bad with it's injuries. 170 was originally supposed to be Jones vs Tex before Jones pulled out with an injury and they rescheduled. The card never rebounded from that, I don't think they even had a main event until UFC 168 finished.

340K isn't great on its own, and it's certainly garbage for "the biggest star in the history of the ufc"

Compared to what they've been getting latley, it's pretty good for a non-Silva or GSP related card.

It would have been if it happened. Jones is my favorite fighter and I still wouldn't have bought that one.

I think the extra 300,000 buys came in when Pat Cummings stepped in!

On a serious note, I take three things away from this:
[1] 340,000 is not impressive. To me, it clearly shows that Ronda Rousey is not the "biggest UFC star ever", not even by a long shot.
[2] The lighter weights just don't sell to the public (155 and below), even your name is Urijah Faber, which is sad as they put on great fights.
[3] However with that being said, Ronda Rousey is a more popular star (PPV buy wise) than any fighter between 125 to 155 lbs.

If BJ Penn puts on an impressive performance and knocks out Frankie, #3 won't hold true as UFC will try so hard to get him a title shot, and that will surely get more PPV buys than the lighter weights or any Ronda Rousey fight.

Well I hope they enjoyed the 1 minute main event. lol.

I hope this isn't too big, because it's awesome.
