But in all seriousness, I bet the 'good news' is that Zingano is ready to return for her title shot against Ronda.
Anybody think Dana might use Cris Cyborg losing a MUY THAI fight to a undefeated seasoned fighter as a way to disregard her as not worthy enough to fight Rousey?
It doesn't affect her MMA record in any way but the fact she lost in another sport is something Dana White is a sleazeball enough to tell the world she is not UFC worthy. And of course that would be funny since there are many UFC fighters who compete in BJJ tournaments and lose often (Ben Henderson comes to mind).
I think Cyborg will continue her success in Invicta at 145 and also at 135, but never see the UFC bringing her in.
Usually whenever Dana does something like this, mentioning suspenseful "huge news", it is to draw a ton of attention and hype to something that is not at all exciting. I believe it was in the middle of the Fedor negotiations that he mentioned he had HUGE game-changing news for the UFC... a few days later he announced they secured Bud Light as a sponsor.
Esox what fight is that in your sig? Both fighters should get fired for that!
As for the Cyborg fight, she lost to a very very good fighter! So what?
That has absolutely nothing to do with MMA. BTW she had a very nice performance.
Ronda Rousey would not last 2 rounds against Jorina or Cyborg in a Kickboxing fight.
Not only brazilians can do this stuff
^"OHHHHHH MYYYYYY GOODNESS!" -Would have been Mike Goldberg.
I hope this isn't too big, because it's awesome.
