WSOF 11 set for July with Palhares vs. Fitch, Gaethje vs. Newell title fights
July’s WSOF 11 event will mark the organization’s third straight event with championship co-headliners.

Following Saturday’s WSOF 9 event in Las Vegas, officials laid out plans for WSOF 11, though an exact date and host site weren’t announced. The event’s main card airs on NBC Sports Network following prelims on MMAjunkie.

Headlining the card is Rousimar Palhares (16-6), who submitted Steve Carl to claim the WSOF welterweight title on Saturday, against Jon Fitch (25-6-1), a fellow UFC vet.
In the co-headliner, undefeated lightweight champ Justin Gaethje (11-0), who recently won the title with a TKO victory over Rich Patishnock, looks for his fifth straight WSOF win when he meets challenger Nick Newell (11-0), who’s posted back-to-back submission wins over Keon Caldwell and Sabah Fadai since joining the WSOF. The fighter, a congenital amputee who was born with just one full arm, now has 10 stoppages in 11 career wins.

Also on the card is light heavyweight Tyrone Spong (2-0), a veteran kickboxer who’s defeated Travis Bartlett and Angel DeAnda since making his MMA/WSOF debut. An opponent hasn’t been finalized for his WSOF 11 fight.
