Shayna Baszler forced out at TUF Nations Finale, Sarah Kaufman needs new opponent
An undisclosed injury has forced Shayna Baszler (15-8 MMA, 0-0 UFC) out of a planned meeting with Sarah Kaufman (16-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at the upcoming TUF Nations Finale.

UFC officials today announced the withdrawal, and a replacement opponent will now be sought.

The event, which serves as the live finale for “The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia” reality series, takes place April 16 at Colisee Pepsi in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. It’s expected to air on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Such a same, I was anticipating seeing Baszler getting smashed.

Hopefully Kaufman gets to fight so we can watch her and she can earn a check. this has to be one of the low points that sap morale out of a fighter; if your fight is cancelled for not fault of your own.

Leslie Smith meets Sarah Kaufman in Invicta rematch at TUF Nations Finale
The Canadian on Tuesday night got her third opponent for next week’s TUF Nations Finale in the form of Leslie Smith (6-4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who will meet Kaufman (16-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) next week in Quebec. Kaufman and Smith, who will be making her UFC debut first met in a “Fight of the Night” performance won by Kaufman at Invicta FC 5 a year ago.

UFC officials announced the new matchup on Tuesday night after Amanda Nunes (9-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC) fell off the fight with Kaufman with a broken hand. Nunes had been a late replacement for Shayna Baszler, who also fell off with an injury.

This should be a great fight, I thought Smith actually won their first match.
