  1. Default UFC on FOX 11 weigh-in results: Browne, Werdum official for title eliminator

    http://mmajunkie.com/2014/04/ufc-on-...gh-in-results/

MMAjunkie was on scene and reporting live from today’s UFC on FOX 11 fighter weigh-ins, where all 26 competitors on the card made weight for Saturday’s event.

The festivities took place at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The same venue hosts Saturday’s fight card.

In the main event, heavyweight contenders Travis Browne (15-1-1 MMA, 6-1-1 UFC) and Fabricio Werdum (17-5-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) square off, and the winner is expected to be the next challenger for champion Cain Velasquez this fall.

Browne weighed in first and came in at 245.5 pounds looking to build on an impressive 2013 that saw him win three “Knockout of the Night” bonuses. Werdum was 232.5 and will be fighting for the first time since June 2013.

In the co-main event, recent women’s bantamweight title challengers Liz Carmouche (9-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Miesha Tate (13-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) meet in a fight that is likely to see the loser set way back in the championship hunt. Carmouche was 135 on the button, while Tate was 135.5.

Also on the main card is a “Fight of the Night” candidate in Edson Barboza (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) vs. Donald Cerrone (22-6 MMA, 9-3 UFC). Barboza was 156 pounds, while “Cowboy” came in at 155.5 in a battle of elite-level strikers.

Should be a great main event. Browne is riding high in confidence after the AO win, let see if he can avoid Werdum's ground game.

Very solid card from top to bottom. Almost all these fights are interesting

I'm going to pick the quietest moment during the main card, and shout

"CATSMASHER LIKES FEET" as loud as I can

If I dont hear or see it on camera, you are getting negg'd

On another note, did anyone notice the poll they were running at the bottom of the screen during the weigh ins commentary? It was polling fans on what fight they were most excited for and the majority of the fans were voting for Meisha and Liz (fluctuated between 50-60%). Brown Werdum hovered around 1-2% of the votes.

So either Liz and Meisha's camps were the only one voting or .. whoever thinks the fans dont care about mwwa is clearly wrong.

Regardless of what ever the misogynist crowd on these boards think, its been shown that the UFC fanbase loves WMMA.

The problem is, I won't know when the commentators will not be talking. I'll do my best. We're at the hotel where the fighters are staying. Just saw the prelim guess leave. Main card don't leave until 4. I'll be gone by then, at the arena watching the first fights. Saw Dolce with alves. Burt wardsen was directing everybody the entire time. With a giant bag of cheetos in one hand haha. Gonna swing by the arena and check out some stuff, maybe see a few other fighters who aren't on the card
