One way around it is that if Machida wins, I hope he does as it would be nice to see him as champ again, they could hold the fight in Brazil which would be pretty flipping huge to have Machida v Belfort in Brazil.

Could you imagine a commissioner in any major sport making a similar declaration? Goodell being hopeful that Manning can finally piss clean so he can play in the Super Bowl.

There are plenty "suppliments" he can take to get himself jacked up. There are virtually NO "truly natural" fighters in MMA or in any sport. They are all taking some "suppliment" for an edge. Pills, powders, and shakes. People complain about TRT are like people on a picnic who complain about it being too windy mean while ants are crawling in all their food......Cleaning up the sport is a myth, it's never been "clean" and never will be.

"I don't call the fighting in my films 'violent', I call it 'action'. An action film borders between fantasy and reality. If I were to be completely realistic in my films, you would call me a violent, bloody man. I would simply destroy my opponent by tearing his guts out. I wouldn't do it so artistically." ~Bruce Lee

Do you think they should atleast attempt to clean up the sport?

Wouldn't be an issue IMO if the punishment out weighted the reward ........
