Report: Junior dos Santos out of TUF Brazil 3 Finale with broken hand - mmajunkie

The UFC’s return to Brazil later this month has lost one-half of its main event.

Heavyweight Junior dos Santos (16-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), who was scheduled to meet Stipe Miocic (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) in The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 Finale headliner, has been forced out with a broken hand.

That news comes courtesy of Brazilian news outlet Combate. The UFC has not yet made a formal announcement.

One helluva reprieve for Miocic, who was getting fed to the fucking wolves with that matchup.

I mean, Mir's probably game but he's coming off four straight losses and I wonder if he's capable of being taken seriously anymore, but they're kinda out of options, unless Overeem's injuries have miraculously healed. Barnett's sidelined coming off surgery and what's Bigfoot's ETA?

They're looking at Mitrione, Jordan, Rosholt, Vera maybe Palelei on a short turn around if he dusts his opponent on Saturday? None of these feel like main events, I'm thinking they're gonna be hunting for a co-main right now.

If bigfoot's healthy that would be a suitable replacement.

Given Andrei's return, there's a sad Tim Sylvia waiting by the phone meme just WAITING to be made lol.
