I"m so surprised that Dillashaw won I was giving him no shot at all. I didn't see the fight yet but apparently he beat the shit out of Barao which is more surprising. I read some where that someone made a prop bet for Dillashaw 5th round tko at -7800 and won. Biggest prop bet victory of all time.

No mention of Dominic Cruz? What the hell, he was the the champ. Wasn't the game plan for him to fight to unify the title when he got better? I say Cruz should get the next shot.

Yea well Dana White is the biggest MMA fan and by that logic he thinks he knows what the public wants more than anyone else, so if he says immediate rematch, then that's what we ALL want :/

Cruz has been out for so long, it's hard to see him getting a title shot. Not saying it won't happen, just that it'll be difficult for him to get.

Maybe Dillashaw/Assuncao 2 for the title and Barao/Cruz for the next shot? It isn't the most ideal scenario, but it would give Cruz a fight to shake off the rust against a guy who just tasted defeat for the first time since his first pro fight in Barao. And the first fight result between Dillashaw and Assuncao certainly warrants a rematch.

I'd want to see these fights or almost any combination of the four fighters.

agreed. I think that there should be a rule, that there should be no immediate title rematches unless you have defended your belt 5 or more times, or the fight ends in controversy like Machida vs. Shogun or a draw. other than that you should have to win at least 1 fight before another title shot. Thoughts?

If the fight had been close at all then maybe I could see a rematch but Dillashaw dominated that fight. I like the idea of Cruz vs Barrao and Dillashaw vs Rapheal

Why the fuck would there be an immediate rematch? There is literally no reason, other than it's the phrase that Joe Rogan apparently scream whispers into Dana's ear while he jerks himself off to sleep. I get that Dana decided that Barao was the best of the best, a few weeks ago, and it would hurt his ego to say otherwise. Barao isn't the best though. He certainly wasn't a paper champion, but it took 72 injuries for us to ceremonial crown him champion over Cruz. I still say that a healthy Cruz destroys him, but I know a healthy Dillashaw does. No need for an immediate rematch. Let him get a few wins under his belt first.

If Goose didn't get a rematch after his lose, why in Gods name would Barao get a rematch? It wasn't even remotely close. Like no where close. I guess since Barao was the champ and they talked him up prior to this fight.
