Konrad is currently a commodities broker and did so to make more income than he was making as a Bellator HW champ as he had just gotten married.

Oh I don't blame him for leaving in any way. He likely didn't think too highly of being a champion that finally defended his title eighteen months after winning it.

I just figured they could have used what money they spent on the likes of Kongo, Tito, Rampage and potentially Kimbo to make a play at getting him back. Especially since he was the first heavyweight champion they crowned and retired undefeated.

Thanks for the article link. It certainly confirmed what I thought in that he made the best decision in leaving when he did.

Oh no, I thought that circus ended once and for all back in 2010.

So what? They will give Kimbo some bums that he will easily beat and we will hace once again idiots saying that Kimbo is a great fighter and could beat many HWs in the UFC?
Not only brazilians can do this stuff

If this is true I wonder why? he 7-0 in boxing. Sure he hasn't fought any one worth while but boxing seems like an easier payday for him. I also wondered why in had not had a boxing match in over a year tho, so maybe he wants to return to mma.

Sarcasm aside, am I crazy or does it seem like Bellashit is just signing guys that have name recognition at this point?
That's about where they're at, since clearly they aren't flourishing based solely on exciting fights.

It seems like Kimbo is the Bob Sapp of MMA in the US. Nobody cares how good he is or what his record is but they love to watch him fight. To be completely honest, the spectacle novelty of a Kimbo fight will always draw my attention, as much as I disdain what he brings to MMA.

You know there's no way that Rampage doesn't get a PPV headliner with Slice if they really did sign him

I don't think Bellator will be doing a PPV any time soon

Bellator is a joke to me now. Signing Kimbo would not surprise me at all. They were once going in the right direction but now they are a novelty act in my opinion.

Bellator has officially gone from being a legitimate alternative to Strike Force 2.0. Shame, I think if they had stuck to their tournament format and let the ranks do the talking they could have had minor success and maybe gotten momentum going but instead they are going the spectacle route. Funny that they aligned themselves with TNA, they are doing the same thing.
