If it gets signed then I don't see this as being anything more than a vanity fight for Rousey but there could be a more interesting narrative coming out the event if Holm gets booked on the same card and with Cyborg also scheduled to fight in December.

2015 could be a BIG year for the women's division and the Carano bout will serve to create publicity and attract a few new eyes to the sport if nothing else.

    Well.

Looking forward to Ronda slamming Gina on her ass in round 1 and adding a nice notch in her belt.

Wow, now that is the biggest joke I have ever heard. I can only imagine how Zingano feels about this........

Sadly, which I suspected, it seems she just wants the $$.

I have no interest in watching Ronda do to her exactly what happened to Alexis Davis. If Carano had any self respect at all or a care for this sport she would train and take a warm up fight, but like most of us knew it was just for the paycheck..

Ronda is going to destroy her.. Gina has been away from the sport too long just to jump in there and think she can do anything other than get a beating.

Look, I have just resigned to the fact that this fight is what Matt Hughes v Royce Gracie was, a fight to say the current star beat the legend and the torch has been passed.

Carano in no way deserves this fight and if Cyborg, someone who is at least active by the way, wants a tune up fight at 135 prior to getting a shot at Rousey then you would hope Carano would also.

So here are negotiations , as I see them, for Carano and the UFC..."How much are you going to pay me to get thrown on my ass and punched in my pretty face."

Why would it be a good idea to book Zingano in a title fight after a near year and a half layoff? Let her come back, prove she is fully fit and shake off the ring rust. Otherwise she is just another lamb to the slaughter who Rousey will get no credit for beating.

This is the biggest joke matchup I have heard of since Randy vs James Toney.............even less competitive.
