Default TNA's 'Impact Wrestling' Will Reportedly Not Be Renewed by Spike TV

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...ed-by-spike-tv

The future of TNA's Impact Wrestling is suddenly very murky. According to TMZ, Spike TV will not be renewing the popular wrestling show's contract in October.

We are still just in the rumor stages of this development, but WrestleZone.com's Mike Killam also cited sources relaying the same information. Per Killam, Impact Wrestling will be canceled if it doesn't get picked up by a new network "in a very short amount of time."

This is potentially devastating news for TNA president Dixie Carter.

TNA gets a lot of flak for being a level below WWE, its rival promotion, but this is a potential fate no one should have to endure. Many fans were quick to express their sadness over the news:

It will be intriguing to see what happens next. There is no shortage of talent in TNA. The writing and storyline development may not be on par with WWE, but there is a slew of wrestlers with impressive athleticism and tremendous in-ring ability thriving throughout the company.

Some may be able to latch on with Vince McMahon, Triple H and WWE if the future is indeed as dire as it sounds, but others won't be nearly as lucky. Hard-working people will be out of jobs.

Nevertheless, it's a little too early to start predicting the future. If Spike does drop TNA, you can bet Carter is already searching furiously for a new partner. It won't be easy, but TNA has had solid ratings this year.

This news, while disappointing, doesn't mean certain death quite yet. But the next few months are going to be extremely crucial in determining the company's fate.
I haven't watched TNA since after Hogan got his mitts on it.

The fact that SPIKE will not be renewing TNA, after news broke last week that Vince Russo was SECRETLY working for them all along, against SPIKE's wishes and all forms of logic is utterly hilarious.

Here's hoping Bobby Roode lands on his feet with Vince.

Well, he was there when Hogan and Bischoff were there too but left around 2011 when Bruce Pritchard showed up(and since bailed). Prichard being basically a lifelong stooge for McMahon knew Russo was poison but once he left, it feels as though Russo was snuck back in for GAWDKNOWSFUCKINGWHY and there's been rumours that he'd been back with them for a while(when you see a shitty women's angle or seven straight talking segments, you immediately think RUSSO)...

Thing is, both SPIKE TV and Muta's Wrestle1 group in Japan explicitly stated that they did not want Russo working for TNA because of his fucking horrible career and void of talent. Specifically, the Japanese believe he's racist for the ways he books Japanese talent and has said some really shitty things in interviews and it's hard to disagree. When SPIKE TV hires a consultant to look at TNA, whether it's a former WWE guy or whoever, "Russo is a cancer" is the first thing they're going to say. EVERYBODY who matters in wrestling takes their time to acknowledge why he absolutely should not be in the wrestling business and just last week on Meltzer's radio show, Bret Hart expressed in eloquent detail why he shouldn't have a job in wrestling.

So basically, Russo is covertly working with TNA(because if you KNOW Russo is booking, all you hear are "FIRE RUSSO!" chants) and is doing shit(as usual) and they're keeping it from SPIKE as they renegotiate because SPIKE would go fucking looney if they found out TNA(who are lucky to have ANY TV deal in the current market) was doing one of the things they explicitly said not to do.

Then Russo fucks up with the Mike Johnson email and the cat's out of the bag and everybody is like, WTF?!?!

Meltzer is saying this info really PO'd SPIKE and in these renewal conversations where TNA literally had ZERO cards to play and were basically hoping to survive with a new deal, this was just another in a long line of dumbfuck moves that influenced their decision. Not the only reason per se that TNA is cancelled, but given that they still pull a million viewers, it's safe to assume that this really tipped the balance.

Oh well, fuck them, they could've sold to Toby Keith and Jarrett but Dixie had to remain an integral part of the company to save face and now, they're probably dead unless they get a deal with some other network that gets nowhere near the coverage SPIKE does. Meltzer said it best, FS1 didn't want RAW and the sick ratings it pulls(compared to their other programs), so who in their right mind would bring in TNA? It'd be better to just buy ROH and refurbish it as Cornette planned, which would get you superior results....

Crazy thing is that Brooke Tessmacher has howling mad heat from back when she was on the rebooted ECW brand, Gail Kim had a job for life as one of the best "hands" but quit because she hated it and doesn't really need the money on account of her hubby and Taryn Terrell is totally on the no-call list due to the whole Drew McIntyre drama, which basically means she'll be back to stunt work. They already had Velvet Sky in their developmental and let her go and the only one they really cared about, Rosita, is already signed.

Sad thing is that Japan is basically a one promotion country with All Japan basically dead and NOAH and Wrestle-1 being glorified indies, so there really isn't much work abroad since they only like to book so many gaijin/foreigners and already have a great crew. ROH could take a bunch and the US indies is OK work, but TNA guys would utterly flood the market and it's a real unknown regarding who could get work with Vince/HHH. I'd like to think Roode and Joe are shoe-ins(although Joe probably would be better suited for New Japan/ROH like AJ is pulling and Jeff Hardy is good for another run now that he's clean and could catch a lighter schedule for WWE. Scary thing is, a guy like Magnus has heat due to the Mickie James relationship and Bully's not really welcome back and a guy whose really worked hard to get over like ECIII was rejected by WWE once before.

Longstory short, this is going to be a crazy week.

She left over the whole "Piggy James" deal and was being ribbed/hazed hard and had issues with Big Dave posting her porno pictures in the locker room and from what I've always heard, despite her talents, she's been dogged by that really weird rumour about being the "other woman" in Cena separating(and eventually divorcing) from his wife and that she got kinda "stalkery" on him and needless to say, WWE is pro-Cena. Now that she's pregnant with Magnus's kid, I think it'd be a tad difficult for him to come anytime soon.

OK, there are a couple of those nude spreads she did that I'd deem pretty hardcore.
