Default Dana White: Negotiations with Gina Carano 'complicated'

Two weeks ago, UFC president Dana White confidently stated that he expected to swoop into Los Angeles and sign MMA-cross over star Gina Carano to fight in the UFC in the next week. As it turns out, getting the former fighter to come back to the cage is proving more difficult than White anticipated.
Carano is still not signed to the UFC and White cited unspecified complications Saturday night in San Jose at the UFC on FOX 12 post-event press conference. "It's complicated," White said.
The UFC boss said that talks are going well in some ways, but that the delay is due to the un-named complications. "It's going very positive, but it's complicated," he said.
Though White didn't elaborate and Carano has not either, one might imagine that the movie career of "Conviction" may be the source of some of the complication. Carano has not fought since 2009, and since that time has focused on her growing film career.
It isn't hard to imagine that shooting schedules and contracts with film studios and agencies may complicate Carano's intention to get back into fighting in many different ways. Though Carano lost the last time she fight, to "Cyborg" Justino, it is expected that she would fight UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, should she sign with the UFC.
Rousey has expressed an eagerness to fight Carano, alternately saying that she herself would go back up in weight to 145 to fight the star and that the Muay Thai specialist has earned a crack at the 135 pound belt.

Here is the complication. Why come back for a small paycheck when she can stay in hollywood. Hell even if she makes WWE B movies straight to video it has to be better than what Dana will offer. The complication is $$$$$$$

How much you think she makes for one of those movies? Wouldn't the UFC pay her at least 500 g's?

The complication is whether her match with Rousey will take place in Jell-O or baby oil. These are big decisions.

I honestly hope to never see Carano in a match again unless she is taking it 100% seriously and is willing to take a tune up for or three.
I am much more interested in seeing Holm after a tune up fight and definitely more interested in Cyborg. The only person who actually deserves a shot immediately is Zingano and she is intelligently taking a tune up fight after a long lay off.

I agree. If I had my way it would be Zingano, Cyborg and Holm. Carano has just been gone to long. Its a different era even from when she fault.

But Dana is one hell of a promoter!
Of course he will sign Carano!
I mean, he managed to sign Fedor, he managed to make GSP vs A. Silva 4 years ago, Fedor vs Lesnar in 2010 was epic, he legalized MMA in NYC, thanks to him MMA is already almost as popular as soccer, every time there are better and better cards.....

Dana will do it. He is awesome as a promoter!!
Not only brazilians can do this stuff
